Subject: Mommy's discomforts From: Ernst Meyer Date: Fri, 02 Oct 2015 22:31:48 -0400 To: "Meyer, Klemens" After you left, I asked Mommy what it was that made her uncomfortable. She said "my foot", but couldn't identify which one. I repositioned her feet, her moaning ceased, at least temporarily and she started scratching her scalp. I asked whether her head itched, and she said "yes"; I asked whether she wanted her hair washed, and she replied with a very emphatic NO. I don't know the cause of her intermittent moaning; but since severe dehydration in the past seemed to obtund her, I ask myself whether the much improved hydration of recent days has lowered her tolerance for discomfort from whatever cause. I don't know. Except for the daily change of diapers against her wishes, I do whatever Mommy asks of me and I refrain from doing what she does not want. That includes giving her food (only) when she wants to eat and fluids (only) when she wants to drink. I would like to share with you the responsibility for taking care of Mommy; I ask you to do whatever you think is best for her, and I will try to help you as best I can. I also ask you to tell me what else you think I should or should not be doing for Mommy.
