What I've been afraid of all along, Margaret's becoming aware of the severity of her disability seems to be happening. This evening's dialogue: JM: What can I do for you? MM: Get me out of here. I can't move. I want to get out of here. I kissed her and caressed her, promised her that I would take care of everything. (What a lie!) persuaded her to relax and to go to sleep, as I believe she has. I hope that when she wakes she will again be less sensitive and more obtunded. We shall proceed "as way opens", but what if it doesn't?
