I telephoned MacKinnon Motors about the Voyager. They had no thoughts or suggestions about the engine's stalling while coasting at 30 m.p.h. They suggested that there was a service routine recommended at 60000 mi. The van now has 57000 mi. Costs would depend on "how deep you want to go" from $200.00 for a simple tune-up to $600 or $800 for the more elaborate work. If only Margaret and I were driving to Virginia I would only get an oil change and lubrication, possibly buy a set of spark plugs and install them myself. Since you plan on driving the van to Konnarock, I would like to defer to your wishes about the extent, if any, of preventive maintenance. I could conveniently take the van to MacKinnon's on Thursday morning, spend the day seeing patients, and pick it up that evening, if that is what you wished. Alternatively, it would seem quite reasonable for you to drive the new van, and for us to take some of your baggage in the old van. Maybe you want to talk to Laura and hear what she thinks. I made reservations for all of us at Albright's for 12/23. and for you on 12/30. I am uncertain as to on what date Margaret and I should come back, will probably not decide until we are in Konnarock.
