It seems to me that we cannot speak meaningfully about repentance until we are able to agree among ourselves what it is that we are to repent of, and offer at least a tentative answer to the question, "What is sin?" Kierkegaard's "Concept of Dread" (Begrebet Angest) might be a good place to start.
