November 11, 2005 Dear Jane, Thanks for your post card. Margaret and I look forward to chatting with you here or in Amherst, on November 20, or on any other date that is convenient for you. I consider it very important that you not feel under any obligation or duress in this respect. I caused you enough trouble sixty-six years ago; and should be quite happy in the knowledge that you are well and have better things to do than to talk with me. I would not be unduly disappointed or at all chagrined if you preferred to postpone our meeting into the near - or distant - future. So far as the mechanics of communication are concerned, there is, of course the mail with its unpredictable delays, e-mail, or the telephone. Whatever suits you is fine with me. Please remember, my letters are wholly undemanding of answers.
