By this time, I hope you're recovering from your long weekend on service. Mommy and I are well. It's been raining, yesterday and today; the forecast is for rain the rest of the week. I have started to set up the surveillance cameras. The images from the two that I have placed - on the east and north sides of the house, seem quite satisfactory. For the installation of the other two, I require some BCN connectors, which should have been, but curiously were not, included with the 50 ft. cables that I bought from Microcenter. I'll order these on the Internet tomorrow, when I have ascertained what if anything else I need. The lawn isn't wide enough and the house is too large to make it possible to get images of two sides with a single camera. My tentative plan is to position all four cameras outside, - which is probably just as well, since Jeane will be coming into the house, and would disturb the kind of markers that I used on Nantucket. As I think about Nantucket, I come to the conclusion that the real issue is not the legal dispute but my advancing age, and that, plumbing and electrical work aside, I don't see how I can finish the project without a great deal of help from you or from one or more of the children. Time will tell. I will understand and I won't be hurt if it turns out that everyone else has more important things to do. The atmosphere here seems calmer and quieter than ever. The hedge is growing relentlessly both in width and in height. I'm relieved to have stopped worrying about maintaining or creating a view, but it's now encroaching on the drive way under the maple tree, - and I will have to do something about that. The only leak in the heavy rain that we had today was around the window in the south west corner of the porch. I should be able to do something about that. All the remaining gutters at the front of the house are stopped with leaves which I will clean out when the weather improves.
