Dear Ms. Saillant, My settlement proposal is as follows: Nantucket and I agree: That as of the date of the agreement, I will not add to or modify the existing plumbing installation at 3 Red Barn Road until a plumbing permit has been issued to a licensed plumber. However, as of the date of the agreement, I am permitted the use of the existing toilet, showerstall and laundry tub. That Nantucket will issue a plumbing permit to a licensed plumber with the explicit acknowledgement that such licensed plumber may delegate to me such portion of the plumbing installation as may be mutually agreed upon between the plumber and myself. That no plumbing installation shall be required to be removed merely because it was installed by an unlicensed person and or without a permit. That Nantucket will issue a wiring permit to a licensed electrician with the explicit agreement that such licensed electrician may delegate to me such portion of the electrical installation as may be mutually agreed upon between the electrician and myself. That no plumbing installation shall be required to be removed merely because it was installed by an unlicensed person and or without a permit. That Nantucket will then inspect the wiring, the plumbing the framing for compliance with applicable codes, and for compliance of the building with the plans approved by the Historic District Commission. The parties agree, that once rough wiring, rough plumbing framing and HDC compliance have been approved, to agree to the dismissal, pursuant to Rule 29, Mass. Rules of Appellate Procedure, of the appeal that I have filed This incomplete proposal leaves unanswered the question, what will I do if I can find no electrician and/or no plumber whose services I feel I can afford.
