Thank you for your letter. I've been trying,
so far unsuccessfully, to come up with a compromise
potentially acceptable to the Town, which would make
it possible for me to get my house completed at an
affordable cost.  I would very much like to settle
the case, but at this juncture, I don't know where
to begin negotiations.  Please let me know if you
have any ideas.
