Dear Cyndy, The older car has been repaired, the younger car is packed, and barring the unexpected, we'll be leaving for Konnarock by mid-morning. We will stay overnight, as usual, in the unassuming Mountain View Motel near Harrisburg PA; then, on Thursday drive to Konnarock. We should arrive there just before dark. I packed three large boxes of documents ready to be filed and served, to be sent by priority mail, if and when the Appeals Court or the Supreme Judicial Court gives me permission. The scanner and the printer which I am taking along will make it possible for me to put together the 52 additional volumes which I will need if the Supreme Judicial Court accepts my application for direct appellate review. I engaged Leah, my younger granddaughter to read to me over the phone any documents that arrive in the mail. I promised to pay her $2 per page; she hopes the motions and memoranda will be lengthy. She will undoubtedly pick up some new vocabulary. I took along a speaker phone, which leaves me with hands free to enter the documents into the computer, and I will use an Internet service called Loislaw, to look up cases if need be. I may not have time for much else, but we shall see. Probably on Friday, I will have a chance to write again. Please give my best to Ned, and stay well. Jochen
