Dear Mr. Leontinov,

Thank you for driving out to Madaket to look at my
1995 Dodge Caravan, and for your telephone call,
making me an offer to repair this car. Please note
that the registration certificate is to be found
in the storage box under the right front seat.

My understanding is as follows:
1. You will replace the alternator and the belt
that drives the alternator.
2. You will repair the doors sufficiently for
the doors to pass the Registry of Motor Vehicles inspection.
3. You agree to have the car inspected,
replace it on the lot at 3 Red Barn Road,
lock the car and mail me the key and the
inspection report.

I am enclosing a check in the amount of $50.00 for
the estimate you have given me. This check is yours
to keep in any event.

I am enclosing a second check for $450.00 as additional
down payment for making the repairs listed above.
.PP
If the car passes the inspection, you will mail me
a copy of the inspection report, and I will mail you
an additional check for $300.00. On receipt of this check
you will replace the car on the lot at 3 Red Barn Road,
lock it, and mail me the key.

If the car does not pass the inspection, you will mail
me the inspection report, replace the car on the lot at 3 Red Barn Road,
lock it, and mail me the key, but I will have no obligation to
pay you anything more over and above the $500 you have already
received.

If these terms are satisfactory to you, please initial one
copy of this letter and retutn it to me in the enclosed envelope.
I will then promptly mail you the $450.00 check.
