This morning, Margrit presented Mommy with a three page manifesto detailing her plans to leave for Tri-Cities at 11 a.m. tomorrow, be met by Roald Kirby at the airport, to be driven to be driven to Detroit by Russell Kirby. My plan is to cooperate with Margrit, to take her to the airport, but also to telephone both Russell and Roald to, as the Americans say "touch bases" with them, to explain to them 1) who Margrit is, 2) what Margrit is doing, 3) what Margrit is trying to do, and 4) that we are here in Belmont at 617-484-8109 to pick up the pieces if and when needed. I don't see that there is anything that you should try to do at this time. This e-mail simply to inform you of what going on, give you the opportunity to intervene (not necessary or perhaps even desirable in my judgment) and to explain that I may go to 178 to use your phone if I don't succeed in reaching the Kirbys while Margrit is having a luncheon engagement with Jane Mason.
