Dear Mr. Adams,

Thank you for your courtesy and kindness in helping
me negotiate the difficulties surrounding the death
of my sister Margrit Meyer.

I enclose a check in the amount of $985 to defray the
January rent for Apartment #1615.

I offer also to pay the rent for the other apartment,
which I believe is #1616, which I understand my sister
has sublet to another tenant, whose name I do not know.
To the best of my knowledge both Apartments #1615, and
#1616 contain furniture and other personal property
of my sisters. I should be pleased to pay the rent due
for #1616 as well, if you will let me know the amount.
Alternatively, I have no objection to your receiving
the rental for #1616 directly from the subtenant,
provided that such an arrangement does not compromise
the rights of my sister's estate to the continuing
rental of both apartments and shall not be construed
as abandonment of the personal property of hers that
these apartments contain.

I am deeply appreciative of your sympathy and
cooperation, and I thank you for your help.
