Dear Cyndy, As I think about yesterday's two letters both confusingly labeled "July 19", I would like to comment on the apparent contradiction, that in the first letter I suggested you withhold permission for an intravitreal injection until you had obtained a second opinion on the fluorescein angiogram. Then, in the second letter which I wrote after my conversation with Peter Lou, I contradict myself, suggesting that if after questioning him you were persuaded of the intelligence and conscientiousness of the surgeon, it might be reasonable for you to give your permission for the intravitreal injection then and there "to get it over with." How quickly or how slowly you arrive at your determination should be left to your untrammeled intuition. The consequent decision will then be YOUR decision, and whatever the sequel, YOUR decision will be the right decision for you. Jochen
