Dear Marion, Thank you for your letter. I look forward to seeing you on Monday. The oxygen saturation values which you report seem to me very gratifying, tending to corroborate my hypothesis that your breathing difficulties reflect neither bronchial obstruction (asthma), impaired alveolar diffusion, (pulmonary hypertension), nor alveolar stagnation (emphysema) but rather a relative central nervous system insensitivity to anoxia readily susceptible to conscious compensation. If the Homeland Security folks and the airlines don't object, I would be interested to know the oxygen saturation values in the airplane at cruising altitude. See you on Monday. My cell phone number is 617-548-5768. The home phone, which would be answered by Margaret is 617-484-8109. Jochen
