With respect to the possible orchestra tour of Europe
which you mentioned, the follwoing occur to me:
1) It's unavoidable that such a trip would be expensive.
Some if not many - of the orechstra members would feel under
pressure, might indeed be unable to finance their participation
in the project. Unless you obtained comprehensive financial
support from a governmental or non-governmental organization,
might not such an effort fracture (perhaps irreparably) 
the spirit - esprit de corps - of your organization?

You would want contingency plans for orchestra members who were
injured, ill, or "went missing". Responsibility for persons under
age 18, would be especially critical. And what about chaperonage?
