Dear Marion,

It's exhilarating to be your family member, and no longer to
be harrassed by reproachful reminders from the NYT computer
such as: You have only 2 of 20 free articles left. That being
said, with so many topics to write about, I should be careful
to limit the time I spend frolicking with Doonesbury, -
or maybe not.

I started to append to this letter a detailed account of what I
have been doing and thinking, but then decided it was preferable
