1) turn on the video screen by pushing the switch at its lower edge.  

2) push the on-off button below the floppy disk apertures on the
front face of the computer.

3) when the operating system selection screen appears,
press "Enter" (linux hdb2 will be highlighted)

4) when the login: prompt appears
