Dear Cyndy, I forwarded the New Yorker clipping about Elliot Perlman's the Street Sweeper to Katenus, and he asked me to thank you, to thank you very much, and to tell you that he would try to obtain a copy from the Island Library, and report to you once he has read it. But don't hold your breath. Katenus has started to refer to the Island as Liar Island, to rhyme with Fire Island. He has a point. This morning's English production is accessible at http://home.earthlink.net/~ej1meyer/diary12/d120228.01 and http://home.earthlink.net/~ej1meyer/diary12/d120228.02 Both are optional. Neither is required reading. I hope your day - and Ned's - is as sunny as mine. Jochen
