Just a note to keep you informed. Margaret is comfortable. She is forgetful, but her speech is often very articulate. She is able to walk with difficulty only with a walker. She can't get up out of bed or out of a chair without assistance. She is eating well and has no significant pain. Klemens comes every evening and stays for about an hour. Laura comes twice a week for 15 minute visits. Rebekah and Leah, at home next door, haven't come at all. Margaret's sister Janet (age 86) who lives in Sharon MA, drives here to see Margaret once a week on weekends when the traffic is sparse, brings flowers and stays for about three hours. Margaret's brother Alex telephones from Readfield ME almost every day. Margaret's brother Peter came from North Haven CT last Monday, brought an exquisite lunch from a gourmet shop near his home, stayeds for about six hours, and promises to come back on October 6. I am busy full time with nursing and housekeeping. I find these activities satisfying, probably more meaningful than anything I have ever done. I have no complaints and ask for no sympathy. Will proceed as way opens and keep you informed. I hope that you are well and happy. Jochen
