Dear Cyndy, Thank you for your letter. I'm sad for you that you won't be able to attend the Harvard graduation ceremonies. Lamentation, of course, makes such a situation only more painful, and it seems best to accept it as one of those facts of life which one takes in stride. I have three more patients, two tomorrow and one on Monday. Then I will clean the house and make sure there are enough towels and bed linen. When that is done, I'll start packing and then, I hope before the beginning of May, Margaret and I will set out for Konnarock. It's possible but not at all certain that we will return before May 26th. Please ask both Elizabeth and Jill to get in touch with me by e-mail so that I can advise them about the peculiarities of this old house. I know that these are difficult times for you, and I wish that expressions of sympathy, rather than demonstrating the impossibility of understanding, could make them easier for you. Jochen
