I've been giving more thought to estate settlement:
To facilitate settements of mommy's and my estates, 
I suggest that we close Bank of America Account 9601-8763 
which is a joint account whose assets, upon the death of the survivor
would be paid only to the executor or administrator of the estate 
and would require probate of the will. 

Subject to your approval, I would like to replace this account 
with two joint accounts, one in the names of 
Margaret Meyer and Klemens B. Meyer joint owners with right of survivorship
and the other in the names of
Ernst J. Meyer and Klemens B. Meyer joint owners with right of survivorship.

I would like these accounts to be based in Abingdon:
a) because Mommy and I are residents of Virginia, and 
b) because the probate of an holographic (hand-written) will,
should it become necessary, is much facilitated 
if the Washington County Court Clerk can confirm the signature of the will 
with records of the local bank.

If you approve, I can get the accounts set up in Abingdon in the next week.
You will then be asked to complete two signature cards which you can return by mail.
