Dear Marion, Since I haven't had an e-mail or a telephone call from you for a few days, I want to write, - as though an e-mail from me could alleviate any problems you might have, and to bring you up to date with our situation and plans. Margaret and I have been in Konnarock for 3 weeks, taking pleasure in the blooming of the lilacs, and the pseudo-flowering of the dogwood, the fresh green foliage of the silver maples, the 10 member flock of blue jays at the feeder as well as assorted chickdees, titmice, cardinals indigo buntings mourning doves and grosbeaks, not to mention the hummingbirds that visit us. In addition we've had three deer, one opposum, two dogs, numerous rabbits and cats, - but no humans, not a one. Two days ago, when scanning the Superior Court Internet site, I learned that a hearing date in my Nantucket case has been set for June 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Accordingly, we will leave Konnarock on June 9 to be back in Belmont in time to prepare for the hearing. I would like to turn around quickly and on June 19 or 20th leave Belmont to return to Konnarock for another six weeks. We would then return to Belmont a second time on August 1, so as to be there when you arrive, and to compose the brief and the appendix for the Appeal. That's an ambitious schedule, and whether I'll summon the courage depends on the problems, if any, that arise on the initial return to Belmont 3 weeks from now. I've resumed writing on volume 5 of die Vier Freunde, which with 120 pages exstant is about 1/3 complete. Given the circumstance that of the six volume I published earlier in the year not a single copy has been sold, I ask whether the effort is rational, but my compulsion to write will tolerate no obstacles. What else can I do? I'll continue to forward to you items which I think might be of interest. Please feel no obligation to acknowledge or to reply. Stay well and happy. Jochen
