Sixteen days have now elapsed. I have received a formal notice neither by mail
nor by email. 

Inasmuch as one of my witnesses, Mr. Christopher M. Gordon must make plane
reservations and purchase tickets for his trip from Florida to Massachusetts,
and inasmuch as I myself must make plans to return to Boston from southwest
Virginia, I respectfully request:

a) that you acknowledge receipt of this email with a reply by email.

b) that you send me by e-mail a formal notice of the hearing, or, alternatively,
that you send me by e-mail a formal notice that you have cancelled the scheduled 
hearing.
