Dear Alex,

Thank you for your affection. I will be out seeing about
a car repair during the middle of the day; will speak with
you on the 'phone later.

Janet's staying overnight and having breakfast with me was
comforting. I am learning that it is possible to survive,
perhaps even to live after the sun has gone down, by its
reflections in memory, by the light of the moon.
