Thank you very much for your invitation to go with you on the
round trip to Dartmouth.

I would like to make a trip with you on which:
a) we might speak only German and/or
b) I could read to you and we could discuss German prose or poetry, such as
  1) Goethe's Faust, Iphigenie,Wahlverwandtschaften,West-östlicher Divan etc.or
  2) Hölderlin's Odes, Elegy, Hymns etc and/or
  3) Rilke and/or
  4) Hofmannsthal, and/or
  5) Schiller, Lessing, Heine ....
  6) the Bible or the "New Testament" (German or English)
  5) my own prose and or poetry
c) discuss in English any topic in philosophy, musicology or music history
   for which I could make adequate preparation

Such a trip should be agreed upon a few days in advance.
