It's been a good day. My hips were almost free of pain today,
and the inguinal pain has disappeared. I intended to clean and 
put things in order, but was distracted by my writing, 
to which I give priority. I spent some time unsuccessfully
trying to get the telephone answering device to work. Suspect
an idiosyncracy of the telephone signal, possibly related
to the DSL.
