Dear Ms. Chambliss, Thank you for the update about your eyes. In the many years that I performed eye surgery, the management of narrow angles was of much interest to me, such that wanted to write about it in one of numerous privately published essays. http://home.earthlink.net/~ernstmeyer/glaucoma/letter11.html I would do you injustice if I volunteered any comments about the past and proposed treatment of your eyes, but if you have questions or would like to tell me more, please feel free to e-mail or telephone. I am presently in Virginia (276-388-3111) plan to be back in Belmont (617-489-1043) about October 5. I've spent an aggregate of three months this summer in almost perfect solitude, with an occasional visit from nothing more threatening than a fawn. The fact that I am in Donald Trump country makes me feel even more at home as if in the Germany of my early childhood. My writing has been prolific. When I completed number 163 this morning, I had outshakespeared Shakespeare by nine sonnets. Their quality is not ascertainable, since they are in German and I have only one reader, an acquaintance in Heidelberg whose judgment cannot be trusted because he is an enthusiastic fan. My real task is to hurry up and get out of Donald Trump's way, so that he can make America great again. Meanwhile I send you and your husband my best wishes. Sincerely, Ernst Meyer
