Nov. 9, 2016 The metal stopper is poorly adjusted (or unadjustable). To close the drain, push dow on the stopper with your thumb. To open the drain, pull up on the leverhandle behind the faucet. I found this Moen Two Handle Lavatory Faucet awkward to install because the space behind the small sink is very tight. The two special tools required are attached. The strainer, which often b ecomes clogged, is not attached to the faucet spout (as is customary) but screwed into it, and requires a special tool (attached) to clean or replace. The tightness of the space behind the sink may make it impossible to repair the facet, the valves, and/or the connections without detaching the entire sink from the wall. To do so, unscrew the outflow limb of the trap, and remove the trap. Then having closed the inflow valves under the sink (the left (hot water valve) is not totally competent) as tightly as possible, disconnect the metal meshed flexible input lines at the inflow valves. Then it should be possible to lift the entire sink with its faucet and fittings attached, to repair or replace the faucet.
