Thank you for taking me to Government Center. The filings both in the Appeals Court and in the Supreme Judicial Court were uneventful, unchallenged. There was a filing fee of $270 for which I was prepared with a checkbook. The only mishap: as I got up out of my seat on the Belmont bus on Concord Avenue the copy of my Application slipped from my pocket. I've already printed a replacement. I suspect the MBTA is very good at recycling unless some curious person picked it up. Arguably the Boston Globe might be interested. After our conversation yesterday, I placed a 16 oz yogurt container with scraps of boiled potato and rather fragrant boiled cauliflower into the crawl-space under the eaves. To get at the food, a raccoon would have to turn the upright container on its side. That didn't happen. Therefore no hungry racoon.
