Dear Alex,

Just a note to explain that Verizon refuses to keep
my landline 617-489-1043 in repair, while swamping me
with mail telling me to switch to their fibre-optic
internet service. If you can't reach me with 617-489-1043 
the cell phone 617-548-5768 should work. Inasmuch as the 
Internet DSL (which come on the same copper lines)
continues to function I have a ?paranoid? suspicion 
that they're deliberately turning off the phone 
to force me to switch.
