Dear Alex, The problem with my analogy between medicine and an hypothetical political science is that there exists some fundamental knowledge about the structure and function of the human body - taught in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, bacteriology and pathology courses in medical school. If any corresponding fundamental knowledge about sociology and social psychology exists, it's escaped my notice, and I surmise that until such fundamental knowledge is discovered (or invented) politicians cannot become physicians of society and will remain - politicians. Love Jochen
