Dear Michael, Thanks very much for your e-mail. Our plans for our land and house at 3 Red Barn Road are very much in flux. I would mislead, if I led you to believe that we are ready to sell. The fact is that we don't know what the future holds for us. In any event, don't let your house be washed away. So far as I (now 87 years old) am concerned, if sudden erosion created an emergency, your house could always find a haven somewhere on our 3.5 acres of land, confident as I am that we are capable of reciprocal generosity. My son will agree. My litigation has been eminently satisfactory to me; for I consider it priceless to have conclusively established how the governor, how his attorney general and how the supreme judicial court interpret the rules of legal procedure and the rules of legal evidence. It's been an experiment in jurisprudence which corroborated both the history of the Commonwealth and the memories of my own childhood. The more things change the more they remain the same. Best wishes, Jochen
