The circumstance that in the adjudication of my Nantucket plumbing controversy,
the Massachusetts Courts ignored their own decisions, has significant 
implications. There is a difference between relying on rational considerations 
to review and rescind a legal precedent and without explanation blatantly 
ignoring a consistent series of rulings for the obvious purpose of reaching
a result consistent with political desiderata. It follows that we who are 
nominally subject to the jurisdiction of the courts, should also not take
their edicts at face value. We must interpret these rulings as factors to be
considered in contemplating what we shall do or refrain from doing, where the
consequences of our actions have now become much less predictable.

Die Subjektivität ist die Wahrheit auch in Bezug auf meine Betrachtung, in
Bezug auf mein Verständnis, meines Körpers den ich nunmehr als Spiegelbild,
als Ausdruck, als Veräußerung des Geistes betrachten muss, 
anstatt als ein fabriziertes Gefüge 
das physikalische und chemische Gegebenheiten darstellt. 
Der Doppelsinn des Wissens um den Körper ist vergleichbar 
mit dem Zwiespalt zwischen dem Ich und der Gesellschaft.

Mich dünkt, der Geist muss sich, wie in alles andere, ins Sterben einüben.
