Dear Ed, and Dear Carolyn,

The traffic was heavy and so was the rain, but Klemens and I got back to Massachusetts safely at about midnight on Sunday.  Before we left, we put down a lot of mothballs.  Klemens and I think neither mouse poison nor ant poison will be necessary.  The video-surveillance system is functioning and shows the house to be o.k.  Thank you both very much for helping us to preserve it.  Meeting both of you again, and getting to know you better was the best part of our trip.  Bank of America says: "The check is in the mail", and promises delivery by June 15.  Our gratitude and best wishes to both of you.
