I haven't read the review. Arguably Nathaniel's concert disconcerted the reviewer and seemed "bad" to the reviewer because Nathaniel had in fact accomplished "etwas Besonderes", something extraordinary, beyond the imagination of the reviewer, whose review was an attempt to put Nathaniel down in order to rehabilitate his, the reviewer's, musical universe which Nathaniel's achievement threatened to disrupt. My advice to Nathaniel is to ignore the review, to continue to (try to) give frequent concerts of music a) which his orchestra is eager to play, b) which his audience is eager to hear and c) which the church officials are eager to have performed on their premises. Nothing else matters.
