1) I feel better. 2) I apologize for the absence of social correctness (as distinct from political correctness) in my account of my thougts and feelings. 3) At about 6 p.m. I took a "joy ride", via Route 3 to Lowell, then Interstate 495 to Littleton, and Route 2 back to Belmont. I had no problems. The traffic was moderately heavy. I convinced myself that I would be able to drive long distances, if I took my time. 4) While I was having supper, Nathaniel and Sabine came into the kitchen. I explained to Nathaniel: i) that if the dog, with a life expectancy of perhaps 12 years, became too much of a burden for Nathaniel, he could give the dog to me. ii) for concern that if the dog, as he had before when the burners were cold, placed his paws on a hot burner in search of food, the dogs paw would be so badly painfully burned that the dog would never walk again, I suggested to Nathaniel that the handles to the switches to the front burners (which had been replaced after I had previously removed them,) be taken off once more to protect the dog from a serious burn. Nathaniel demurred and stated it would be good for the dogs paws to be burned, then the dog would learn his lesson. 5) As your plans for August and September mature, please e-mail me any dates on which you might want me to drive with you: i) to the airport; ii) to Nantucket; iii) to Konnarock. so that I could adjust accordingly, any plans I might develop to go to Konnarock.
