I closed and locked all open windows at your house.  I also locked all the windows which were already closed, except the easternmost window over the stairs in the music room.  The lock on this window is accessible only from the narrow ledge separating it from the stairs, far too dangerous for me, - which even you should not try to negotiate, because neither of us would ever recover from a fall down that stairwell.

As I'm sure you understand, an unlocked double-hung window can easily be opened from the outside without breaking any glass.  None of the closed windows was locked.  I concluded that the conservative approach would be to keep all windows locked until a few hours before your return, and then before you return to unlock a sufficient number of windows to assure family harmony.

I also locked the door between the basement and the garage. This of course I can also unlock before your return, if you so direct.

Therefore, please advise me whether on Saturday morning you wish me:
a) to keep all windows locked
b) to unlock all windows
c) to unlock only selected windows, and if so which ones?
d) to unlock the door between the basement and the garage.
