I am pleased that you have reason to expect substantial help from Mr. Barros. A) Preliminary to the plastering, but not preliminary to the insulation, you must decide: 1) Whether to set up temporary sleeping quarters in the basement. 2) Whether to set up a temporary kitchen in the basement. 3) Whether to abandon my video surveillance or move it to the basement. 4) Whether to air-pressure test the plumbing supply for possible sabotage 5) Whether to extend the metal chimney into the second floor closet or 6) Whether to install an access panel in the ceiling of the second floor closet to provide for later installation of the chimney extension B) I know nothing about Mr. Barros except that 1) Mr. Barros has been very affable and forthcoming and eager for the job, 2) That a competitor I (whose name I've forgotten) slandered Mr. Barros as being too expensive and in turn that Mr. Barros allegedly slandered the competitor as doing poor work. C) Unless you find Mr. Barros exploitative, I would try to enlist (and appropriately pay) him as a "shadow" contractor to recruit: a) workmen, and/or b) subcontractors, 1) to install the spiral stairs 2) to install the floors 3) to install the inside doors 4) to install the wall and floor tiles 5) to build the southern and eastern entrance decks
