Thanks very much for your visit last evening. I find the discussions with you invariably stimulating and productive.

I would like to withdraw my request that you next come in the afternoon rather than in the evening. Please feel free to come any time in the day or in the evening with any friends who might wish to come. Klemens will feel free to join us, or come to see me at another time as he wishes.  

In anticipation of our proposed discussion of Sokrates Apology, various new perspectives have occurred to me, which I find interesting ... It also came to mind that given your affection for the music of Richard Strauss, you might be interested in a close reading of Hofmannthals libretti to the various operas. Strauss' interpretation of Hofmannsthal's poetry would be a fascinating window into Strauss' psyche.
