This morning Tim gave me invoices in the amount of $515.01 for lumber which he has bought. Instead of the $2000 for which he asked and which I paid for his labor last week, today he asked for only $1500 for a week's work. I am relieved that he is not exploiting us (any longer). Perhaps my regularly being up at 6:30 a.m.  when he arrives had a salutary effect.
