I am well. Not so Tim, who spent much of the afternoon sitting in his truck. He answered my question, saying he was not well, but gave no details, then with apparent equanimity, prepared an elaborate dinner for the two of us. The smoke alarms wailed incessantly. My concluding inference: perhaps my memory tricked me and power is supplied to the smoke alarms not in the junction box in the atrium but in one of the smoke alarm boxes on the first floor, where the defect might be identified, and a secure connection established. Tim has taken about 90 percent of the building debris to the dump. He has completed baseboard installation in the second floor atrium and in the south east bedroom. Good night. Sleep well.
