Tim tells me that because the high winds have interrupted the ferry traffic, there is a backlog of vehicles to the mainland. You ask about my return. I have made no reservation, but subject to ferry space availabilityI will come whenever you wish. Tim's moods, his irrascibility and his unpredictability have distracted me. My intention was to reassess my plans as I adjust to his absence. All of the first and second floor switches and receptacles are covered with wall plates; perhaps half a dozen are crying for cosmetic adjustment. For mounting the basement light switches at the foot of the spiral stairs, I'm waiting for an extension box which Amazon promises to deliver by next Friday. The cable to the stove needs to be connected in the circuit breaker box. The surface mounted outlet in the kitchen needs to be screwed to a wooden plate on the wall. The circuit breakers for receptacles in the upstairs bathroom, in the kitchen and (perhaps) in the dining room need to be replaced with GFI (ground fault interrupters). And not to be forgotten, the smoke alarms need power. I am prepared to return to the Island in January, February, and or March to continue implementing the necessary installations, shower curtains, toilet paper holders, towel bars, - not to mention the installtion of kitchen cabinets. But much depends on your own wishes and plans. I wish you a safe and comfortable trip to Nashville.
