Dear Nikola, Thank you for your letter, from which I infer that you are well. It would be foolish and presumptuous for me to have an opinion about what advice, if any you should give Lushen. My respectful suggestion to you is: a) that you give Lushen unlimited opportunity to tell you what is on his mind. b) that, depending on your own and your family's situation, you be prepared to lend Lushen at intervals limited sums of money which will help him resolve immediate, pressing problems. Not only the amount of the loan but also its length is important. Loans can, and if necessary should be incremental. Loans always can, and, depending on cirumstances, often should be forgiven. c) that relationships between men and women are complex, sometimes labile, and often inscrutable. Before you give advice, you should reflect on how little you might know, and how shallow your understanding might be. EJM
