Subject: Re: Dr. R Busch reply? Date: Mon, 12 Jul 2021 21:00:47 -0500 From: Donald Strauss To: Ernst Meyer Dear Jochen: Thanks for your prompt reply. I am sad to read of Dr. Buscht think (assuming you have had and continue having an interest and ability to translate his book), that you should stop your translation activity. Doing so would be a regrettable outcome for two reasons: 1st: Dr. Busch expects you to be working on this project and will be saddened if it is not completed (or worse, delayed because you stopped working on it because he was ill). 2nd: Because you have the capacity to complete it, and instead stopped your effort, then, unfortunately, those around the world, who speak only English will never have the opportunity to learn from and enjoy this wonderful documented work of our family and history that Dr. Busch (and you) were able to document for them and posterity. There is the issue of learning who Dr. Busch arranged to publish the English version. We need to learn who that publisher is as well as the publishers not worry about them at this point. What are you thoughts? All the best! Don
