Dear Alex,

Thank you for your telephone call yesterday, to ask about me and my
state of mind. The correct answer is that I don't know, that I no
longer trust my judgment and that I must learn to live with that
uncertainty which confronts us all, and all the more, the older we get.
My functioning today is little different from what it was a month ago, 
if I remember correctly. I keep myself out of trouble by finding things
