Dear Carolyn, dear Ed,

We arrived back in Massachusetts at about 10:30 Monday evening. Our trip was uneventful and pleasant.

Thank you very much for everything, for looking after the house in our absence, for keeping the lawn mowed, and for the three delicious meals.

I'm uncertain about when we will be able to come back, but meanwhile we will keep in touch.
