Dear Nikola,

Not having had word from you since you were here on March 18, I hope that this inquiry about your well-being is not intrusive. I have been reading about mathematical physics, thinking much, - and understanding little. 

I come to the conclusion that, if at all, I can understand physics not as the description of a world independent of my understanding, but only as a world expressive of that understanding, as natura naturans (as human nature), as the world-model invented by Nobel hungry professors, rather than as natura naturata, (as absolute, "divine" nature) rather than as a transcendental world that evolved from one of various competing myths, such as a singularity that exploded into time, space and mass or as the work of an amateur orchard manager whose hobby was the culture of human beings.

Unavoidably, as an account of natura naturata, "understanding" physics is hopelessly beyond my ken; but just as unavoidably, as the accounting for natura naturans, "understanding" physics is an inescapable obligation, implicit in the imperative "know thyself."

I need help. Relying on SI, I have set myself the mental laboratory experiment of deriving reality from three fundamentals, TLM, (time, length and mass).  I understand that I can easily figure out how much time has gone by, e.g. how old I am, the extent and meaning of 91 3/4 years, by measuring the length of a second with the Caesium clock.  I understand that I can easily figure out how many meters it is to the Star Market, by measuring what fraction of a second it takes a photon to get from 174 School Street to Waverly.

What I can't figure out is how to use the Planck constant h = 6.626 070 15 × 10-34 when expressed in the unit J s, where J is equal to kg m2 s-1, to confirm that Cerberus Capital Management isn't increasing its profits by skimping on the mass 1.81 kg of granular sugar which they sold me on Saturday, March 26, 2022 for $2.29.
