Dear Carolyn, dear Ed,

I very much hope that you are comfortable happpy and well.

The reason I am writing is that I would like you to put the sign
below on the kitchen door on our house, where the telephone repair
man when he comes tomorrow October 18 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
can read it. As you know we have four video cameras with which we 
keep checking on the house. These cameras have not been working
most likely because the telephone line outside has been damaged.
The repair man does not need to go inside the house. You do not
need to open the house for him. I'm sorry that I'm too old and crippled
to come to Konnarock myself. Instead I send you my very best wishes:

       A DIAL TONE AT THE SERVICE CONNECTION BOX. 


       WE WILL REPAIR ANY PROBLEMS INSIDE THE HOUSE 

I AM SORRY THAT I AM TOO CRIPPLED TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR YOU.
