Dear Nikola,

You cannot come today, because soon after our earlier telephone conversation,
I had an episode of copious watery diarrhea which makes it impossible
for me to get downstairs to the kitchen to open the door for you.

As you know, I share this house with Nathaniel and Sabine. If and when
you come at some later date, they should not be in the house. This week
they are very busy preparing for their wedding and do not have time to 
be away until the wedding is over. 

If you wish, at some day after the wedding we will negotiate a time when 
it is both convenient for them to be away, for me to get down to the kitchen 
to unlock the door, and for you to come to visit. Until then please feel
free to telephone me at any time.

I hope that you will be better soon.
