Dear Nathaniel,

a) Thank you for the coffee, for the oatmeal and for the strawberries.

b) With respect to the refinishing and in the choice of any new color for painting the front door, you are free to proceed as you wish.
b1) The Trustee of 174 School St., Margaret Meyer, makes no objections. 
b2) Klemens, who owns 50 of the 100 shares of beneficial interest, has written to me that he makes no objection.
b3) Inasmuch as you yourself own 10 shares, you can rely on 60% of beneficial interest to proceed as you wish.

c) For the past 67 years I have treated property, both personal and real, as instruments to facilitate and to cement relationships to members of my family. I ask of you to try to imitate me and to adjust your management of 174 School Street to the same perspective, not with respect to my own concerns, which are moribund and immaterial, but with respect to Klemens where the reciprocal need for affection is very great, and the relationship is vital, both for you and for him.

d) Time can help. If the yellow paint which you bought now embarrasses you, it can age, inconspicuous on the lowest shelf of the southern wall in the Garage in the company of other cans of paint I have bought and never used.
